Nel caso che stiamo configurando un'applicazione web, in particolare un servizio WCF, può capitare che venga visualizzato il messaggio di errore " The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is a script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map" su un sistema server (esempio Windows 2012), in tal caso, bisogna installare la funzionalità per il protocollo http di WCF.
Aprite in modalità di amministratore il prompt dei comandi (cmd) e scrivere il seguente comando:


dism /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:WCF-HTTP-Activation /all

Nel caso che ci sono problemi, che non lo installa, potete utilizzare il comando seguente:

dism /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:WCF-HTTP-Activation45 /all

A questo punto potete eseguire il vostro servizio WCF nel browser.
